Patriot BBQ is a family-run business out of the town of Houston, Alaska.
Dustin and Shanie Heger are the proud owners of Patriot BBQ. They have a love for things that spark passion inside them: God, Family, Country, and BBQ! Dustin served in the US Air Force for 15 years, deploying to such places as Korea, Qatar, Africa, Iraq, and Kuwait.
They have been happily married for 24 years, and have 2 lovely daughters. They have competed in a number of local tournaments to include but not limited to: Matsu BBQ Battle where they took 1st and 2nd place for sauce and 2nd place for chicken. They also competed in the 49th Meal Cook-off taking “Best Overall” and 1st place for their succulent ribs.
The Hegers started Patriot BBQ in 2020 as a way to share their love of BBQ with the local community, friends and family from all over the world. Handcrafting their own blend of spices, they have created one-of-a-kind flavors for their delicious rubs. They also make a wide variety of BBQ sauces to help you add that finishing touch onto any piece of meat that you happen to throw down on the grill.
